DPOB Brand Illustrations

The Downtown Partnership of Baltimore commissioned me to create a library of illustrations that could be used on their branded material when an extra element of approachability and playfulness was needed. The resulting asset library celebrates Baltimore’s greatest landmarks and popular symbols in a unique and ownable style.

Process

DPOB chose to lean into a wonky, playful, and imperfect style. We started with sketches on a handful of the requested imagery. Then I did a style test to make sure the grungy textured look that DPOB was after would be possible in a vector style. My background as a graphic designer really helps to support the technical aspects of illustration projects like this.
