Background
Patagonia hired me to create a regional logo for their new location in Baltimore. The Maryland Blue Crab represents Patagonia's commitment to environmental activism and serves as a symbol of Maryland culture and conservation efforts. All photos by Shawn Michael Pridgen.
A full brandguide was not a requirement for this project. But I did create single color versions for both dark and light backgrounds that maintain visual impact and legibility in limited color situations.
The Patagonia design team collaborated with artists, designers, and craftspeople to incorporate elements of the logo throughout the store.
Environmental Graphics
Patagonia commissioned me to conceptualize and illustrate a display that would educate the public about Baltimore’s waterways and conservation efforts.
I conceptualized a graphic that would showcase Maryland’s waterways and also inspire community action. I based the contents of the illustration on educational material from Blue Water Baltimore which would help connect Patagonia to existing local conservation efforts and show people how their every day choices can impact Maryland’s waterways. Patagonia’s creative team designed the boards and signage using pieces from the fully vector illustration that I created.
