Background

LG&E, KU, and ODP provide electricity to more than 1 million people. From routine bill payments to serious power outages, this mobile app is a gateway to an essential utility. Ensuring a good user experience is crucial, not just for maintaining a positive relationship between a company and its customers, but also for being a helpful companion during challenging times.

01 Utility bills comes in all shapes and sizes.

When users pay their bill we want them to understand three things at a glance: when, how, and how much. We used a combination of colors, icons, and labels to quickly communicate essential information while maintaining easy access to deeper details.


02 Reporting that is fast, easy, and accurate.

Power outages can be frustrating, even dangerous. Accurate and timely reports are essential to getting customers connected with the help that they need. Presenting the reporting process over multiple steps makes it feel more manageable, especially in the midst of stressful scenarios.
